Table Mountain Trailer's motto is "Fast enough to get there, slow enough to enjoy." This sums up our group's approach to recreational trail running. Our runs are not always that easy and often we tackle steep trails up the mountain. But we do stop frequently to re-group and to appreciate the view or examine some object of interest. We just enjoy jogging along our magnificent mountain trails with like minded people.
Our runs range from 10-15Kms depending on the route chosen for the day and we usually split into faster and slower groups, although both groups follow the same route. Depending on the distance and terrain our sorties take between two to three hours.
Novice Trail Runners
We welcome novices to trail running but a certain minimum level running fitness is required in order to participate in our trail runs and still have fun. As an estimate, we reckon that you need to be able to run 12 - 15kms on road at a pace of at least 6min 30/km.
Trail Running Risks
Be aware that trail running is inherently riskier and more dangerous than road running. You participate in these runs voluntarily and whilst acsis VOB and the organisers of the runs take reasonable precautions to ensure runner safety, it can never be fully guaranteed. To this end, acsis VOB and the organisers personally cannot be held liable for claims relating to injuries, disabilities and deaths, inter alia, that may occur during these events and any side excursions linked thereto. You participate entirely at your own risk.
Please ensure that you are medically fit to be participating and make sure that you are properly kitted out for each particular run so as not to place yourself and others at undue risk.

Comment by Peter D Rogers on April 2, 2012 at 10:08 There will be no organized TM Trailers run this coming Saturday as many will be participating on one or more of the Two Oceans events.
To all of you who are about to run the Two Oceans Ultra, half or trail runs, I wish you well on your way, may you have a good, hassle free run and achieve the results you deserve.
As you set off be inspired by the words of Sir Francis Drake's prayer offered before the battle of Cadiz
Lord God, when you call your servants to endeavour any great matter, grant us also to know that it is not the beginning, but the continuing of the same, until it be thoroughly finished, which yields the true glory;
Please let me know how you did in which ever race you ran, it will be interesting to see how collectively the members of our group performed.
Wishing those of you who celebrate Easter a very blessed Easter-time and to all other trailers a peaceful and relaxing long weekend!
